Parent Teacher Group

The PTG consists of parents and teachers that are dedicated to enhancing the education of our children by fostering relationships between home and school. This group gives parents the opportunity to become more involved and have a direct influence on their child's education.

PTG Officers for the 2010/2011 School Year are as follows:

Meetings are generally held the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 PM in the Media Center. The Granby Gazette and the calendar of events on the school website will announce any changes to our scheduled meeting. If you are unable to attend our regular meetings there are many ways you can participate in PTG events, please leave a message for PTG president Sara Sunday at the school, 593-5480, or e-mail the group at granbyptg@gmail.com.

The PTG is involved in and supports many of the activities held every year at Granby such as Accelerated Reader night, Open House, the fall and spring book fairs, the RIF program, Family Craft Night, Family Movie Night, and Spring Carnival as well as many other events at Granby and in our community.

The PTG has also been aggressively fundraising to build a new playground. The PTG has decided to work with Parkitects to build the new playground. The playground design voted on will cost over $100,000 at completion. The PTG, with the help of the Granby community, has raised over $30,000 to date. Fundraising will continue this year and grant writing has begun.
