Fulton City Schools ... Expanding Minds and OpportunitiesThe sky's the limit for children today. They can accomplish anything. It's our job to provide the opportunities and the tools for them to reach their goals. In Fulton Schools, you'll find us working hard to prepare our youth for the future. And we are succeeding-both in the areas of technology, and in the essential areas of reading, writing and arithmetic. The New York State Education Department gives our students high marks. Fulton Schools surpassed the mean performance of all similar public schools. Well-prepared students will have a competitive edge as they prepare for college or the job market. Academic proficiency, however, is not the sole measure of our success. Extra-curricular activities are abundant and play a major role in giving our students the well-rounded background they need to succeed. The "City" DistrictThe Fulton City School District serves students of the city proper as well as those from the surrounding towns of Granby, Volney, Minetto, Oswego, Palermo and Scriba. Quality From Preschool Through High SchoolPreschool programs and full-day kindergarten sessions introduce our youngest students to everything from broad social interaction to the basic academic and analytical skills that will form the foundation for their learning years. A quality education is built upon the district's Standards of Excellence. From this we provide a comprehensive curriculum with programs that focus on preparing our students for a wide range of potential career paths. Some of the highlights include:
The SchoolsElementary Fulton's four elementary schools: Fairgrieve, Granby, Lanigan and Volney - offer locations of the greatest convenience to our pupils and parents. Bus transportation is provided for those students eligible according to board policy. The certified elementary staff provides speech therapy, remedial reading and special education. training or the workforce.
